Established in 2017, PipeMedic is owned and operated by the Cowan Brothers, Joseph and Nathan. Initially set up with the purpose to rectify defective and poor performing Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) installs for the Christchurch City Council (CCC) left behind by the SCIRT legacy, now leading the future of innovation in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation solutions across New Zealand.

Joseph Cowan

Managing Director

PipeMedic is led by Joseph who has over twelve years experience in the drainage industry, holding a national certificate in Drainlaying and also has 10 years experience installing CIPP throughout Christchurch during the SCIRT rebuild. Joseph is a former director and founder of Quikshot Ltd, which in its time was the leading supplier of small bore CIPP for the SCIRT works. Joseph has a firm ‘do it once, do it right’ attitude which reflects his workmanship and reputation.

 
 

Cole Lucas

Director

Cole is a Director of PipeMedic South, jointly established alongside the Cowan brothers. Cole is a qualified automotive heavy engineer who since 2018 has owned and operated Drain Vision, specialising in pipeline CCTV inspections and cleaning. Cole is also a director of hydro-excavation business Hydro-Pro Central. Altogether allowing the ability to seamlessly deliver high quality pipelining services and trenchless pipe rehabilitation to the lower South Island.

Nathan Cowan

Director

Nathan has a BE(Hons.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Auckland and is a founding director of PipeMedic. Prior to the company's establishment, Nathan’s focus was directed at the remediation and removal of faulty pipe lining, during and left behind by the SCIRT legacy. In combination with his degree and experience, Nathan provides a technical and professional approach to problem solving.

David Browne

CCTV Consultant

David works closely with PipeMedic throughout the North Island providing valuable knowledge and expertise in pipeline assessments and diagnostics. With over 10 years experience performing and reviewing CCTV, David ensures that the rehabilitation team has accurate pipeline information in order for PipeMedic to continue providing the highest quality, cost effective solutions.
